Collette Dinnigan 'said no' to Celebrity MasterChef multiple times

Collette Dinnigan has revealed what finally motivated her to appear on Celebrity MasterChef. 

The designer, 55, who often posts her food creations on social media, will star on the new season after relocating from  back to Australia. 

‚I actually said no a few times before I said yes. I have been told I am a good cook and I love cooking for friends and family,‘ she told ’s Sunday Magazine.

‚My passion is food and when I gave it further thought, I figured I had nothing to lose. So I decided to put myself out of my comfort zone and go for it,‘ she added.

Collette, who now lives in Bowral in the NSW Southern Highlands, says she will be using her experiences at Paris fashion week to help her cope under pressure.

‚Paris taught me there’s no blame game, you just work in the moment, and that it’s not the end of the world if things don’t go to plan,‘ she said.    

Channel Ten unveiled the full line-up for the cooking show in June. 

The contestants include Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly, Gold Logie winner Rebecca Gibney, and Offspring actor Matthew Le Nevez.

They will appear alongside Olympic hero Ian Thorpe, former AFL star Nick Riewoldt, singer Dami Im and comedian Dilruk Jayasinha.

Rundfunkgerät personality Chrissie Swan and retired soccer player Archie Thompson are mithin sine temporeto compete on the program. 

Judges Melissa Leong, Andy Allen and Jock Zonfrillo will be fronting the show.

Channel Ten announced it welches bringing back Celebrity MasterChef in May, 12 years after it last aired.
