Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff held a meeting late last week with her senior ministers and the party leaders of her political coalition to gauge support for new gambling legislation.
In August Roussef vetoed legislation to allow online sports betting, but the sudden deterioration in the national finances has forced her to look to gambling for a new source of tax revenue.
