A statement published by the Guardia di Finanza—the police unit dedicated to financial crime—has named PokerStars and its Italian subsidiary as the latest tax evaders identified by an operation codenamed “All-IN.”
The statement accuses Halfords Media Italy Srl—identified only as ‘H’— of “actions of complex criminal design,” enabled by the controlling power of the sole director of the group who is now being sued for tax evasion.
